Evaluation-Question 5

How did you attract/address your audience?

I would attract  my audience by using different marketing techniques, for example posters and other big media prints, interviews with the director and cast, and of course who could forget trailers shown on TV and in cinemas. I think this is the most effective way of advertising as it makes people see my media on a daily basis so that they may begin to consider seeing it. Also I hope to spark up conversation on my film so that more people will watch it to be able to discuss it's issues that it brings up.

As my target audience is mainly young people (25 or under) I feel that they would go online more so than older people. because of this I think a viral marketing campaign could be launched as to attract more people and more attention in general. one example of a viral marketing campaign is the Blair Witch project's choice to use 'missing' posters as to spark up conversation to whether or not this was a true story and a documentary or not. Another more recent example is the Skyfall viral marketing campaign.

Something like this would definitely make my film known throughout the Internet.

However I must think of something individual to my film to make this work, maybe place lots of boxes around the station instead, and you have to find where the tickets are.

I think using all of these ways of marketing would be the best way to make sure my whole target audience know about the film, which would increase the chance of them going to see it.
